2021 NCAA QUALIFIERS-Fortunate to have worked with each of these guys at some point in their careers. I wish all athletes a healthy and competitive tournament, but especially these 6!
From Top Left Down to Top Right Down
125lbs Zurich Storm of Campbell University-New Oxford HS PA-Z was one of the last of the original Kolat kids I got to work with before we shut down the Baltimore location. He would cross the PA/MD line and scrap with the best of them!
157lbs Hayden Hidlay of NC State-Mifflin County HS PA-The Hidlay brothers were always together and were introduced to me by the Shield Brothers of PA. Hayden's underhook game hasn't changed much but he's always had that in your face style.
184lbs Trent Hidlay of NC State-Mifflin County HS PA-Trent was always the quieter one but his brash aggressive style has really developed at NC State.
141lbs Cody Trybus of US Naval Academy-Mount Saint Joseph HS MD-worked extensively with Cody during spring and summer Freestyle and Greco training but also at his High School where I was assistant coach
184lbs Aaron Brooks of Penn State-North Hagerstown HS MD- got to work with Aaron every spring and summer during Freestyle/Greco training from 7th to 11th grade and cornered him in each of his 3 Fargo titles
133lbs Austin DeSanto of Univ of Iowa-Exeter HS PA-came to my club regularly for my clinic and camp series when he was in middle school and one of the hardest working kids!

The following 3 athletes wrestled in their respective Nationals, left to right:
149lbs Marty Margolis III of Grand View University-LaPlata HS MD-MM3 placed 3rd in the NAIA National Championships. Marty regular came to train with me in HS and took him to Fargo where he was a two time All American. Hilarious kid....
141lbs Baagii Baterdene of Doane University- Mongolia-The Mongolian Monster won his second NAIA National Title. Baagii is a great friend as well as athlete who I have trained since 2015 when he first arrived in the US from Mongolia as a Cadet World Freestyle Champion, not knowing any English or Folkstyle wrestling for that matter. Proud of his quick advancement in both, speaking fluent English now and 2xCollegiate Folkstyle National Champion!
109lbs Cassy Lopez of Presbyterian College-Mt Hebron HS MD-Cassy placed 4th in her first trip to the NCWWC Nationals. She began working with me when she had little to no wrestling experience, but trained her for 2 summers and took her to Fargo where she gained valuable experience.
