Congratulations Taína Fernández, First US National Team in First Eligible Year!

Taína (Tie-e-na) Fernández just turned 13, yet just won the USA Wrestling u15 Pan Am Trials to become the 58kg delegate to compete in Colombia South America at the u15 Pan Am Championships in November.

Not only did she make her first National Team in her first eligible year, she only weighs about 57kg, outscored her opponents 41-0 via 4 tech falls, and do I have to mention again, she just turned 13!

Taína began seeking training opportunities with me a couple months ago when other training situations disappeared due to athletes simply ending their summer competition/training cycle.

I met Taína in 2015 when she came to train with me and first began wrestling, yet somehow she and all these other athletes eventually come back... I am blessed- CONGRATULATIONS!

It is also relevant and notable to mention that Taína has defeated two different 2022 Fargo Junior Champions earlier this year.  Junior division is 17-18-19-20 years old!
